ABOUT ME

I have been building websites since 1998, when laptops were made of wood and ran on gas. I came into web development with a background in marketing, having worked for the previous ten years in high level marketing roles for some well known brands within the fashion industry.

These days the web and the world have moved on, and modern web technologies allow us to use all sorts of digital goodies that we could only dream about back in those early days. The development of the web means that it is now the primary window for promoting your brand or business, and my commercial background, combined with extensive web development experience, puts me in the perfect position to work with you on your web strategy.

Skills

• Coding:

  XHTML / CSS / Javascript / PHP / Wordpress

  I hand code all of my work to ensure clean, standards compliant, search engine friendly websites that work well in all modern browsers.

  I use PHP and Wordpress for blogs and websites that need to be updated regularly, and the Opencart and Zencart frameworks for e-commerce sites.

• Applications:

  Photoshop / Dreamweaver / Flash / Media Production

  I have extensive experience in using all of the main web and media production applications.

  As well as the usual web development processes - image processing, Flash animations, Javascript applications etc, I am also highly experienced in using audio and video production software, and have a reputation for delivering rich media content simply and effectively.

• Commercial:

  Marketing / Business Development

  I have over 20 years of substantial business experience, from sales and marketing to brand direction.

  This background means that I approach every project from a commercial viewpoint, aimed at delivering websites that will increase your exposure in the marketplace and increase the potential of your business.
